Roots and Branches
A tree, grounded and connected to life through a web of roots, twisting and turning, curling their way down to reach the nourishment only found deep down in the core of the earth. Each fibre of the system playing their unique role in drawing upon the wisdom of the ages, the layers of history, of days bygone.
The branches, equally formed, as a mirror to the roots but in the present. A symbol of growth, of life, of the future.
But what exists at the junction? The point where the two worlds meet? At what point does the root become branch and branch become root?
Likewise the connection between heart and mind. The heart, with its desire for depth, for feeling, its intuitive knowing, its learning from the past.
The brain, reading, growing, forging new ideas, creating the pathway of times to come.
Where do heart and mind meet? Where does heart become mind and mind become heart? Could it be that they are in fact one? Much has been written on this topic and much more will come. Meanwhile I am enjoying pondering.
